DMO, the DEEG-ROOR MEDICAL ORGANIZATION, is non-profit institution that was established in September 10th 1996 by group of indigenous /intellectual group from Bay region.

The impetus behind its foundations rests on assisting the most vulnerable community sections physically and otherwise: Women and Children through health and nutrition services provisions systematically and sufficient ways.

DMO since its inception help international organization especially those concern on areas of mother and child welfare developments through partnerships in program implementation as well as technical and information sharing.

Today, the rapidly increasing civil society organizations in Somalia have been playing an active role in closing the gap in Humanitarian Assistance, However, they too often operate hardship area and there is an increasing call for planning to prevent another crisis and establish a solid foundation for sustainable public services and new economic growth.

DMO intends seeking financial support from various sources, including contributions from the Somali SCOs and program funding from the international development agencies operating in Somalia/Somaliland. Currently, we get assistance from UNICEF/WVI/WFP/OFDA.

DMO have deliberately set out to create the culture, of building the capacities of our staff and for us we do have some experience that is hard to come by, and sets us apart from our peers thanks to the great effort the organization has put on its staff to bust our capacity.

Our experience in the fields gives us a unique ability, in all its forms, to implementing processes. Some of our strong areas includes accounting/finance, facilities, inventory control, budgeting, child protection policies, vendor management and various operational processes.

DMO has experience with the community in this areas as its one of the oldest local organization which has been active since 1996.

We have delivered large Nutrition/Health/FSL projects on schedule/on budget and in alignment with the organization strategy. Organization we have partnered with include WVI, UNICEF, WHO and WFP.
