Empowering Health projects

In particular, in the context of Somalia, DMO’s steadfast commitment to upholding the human right to health and reproductive self-determination is ingrained in the organization’s mission. Our comprehensive health initiatives address the enduring issues Somali communities face by bridging social, institutional, and individual divides.

The goal of DMO is to create accountable and robust health systems. To improve service delivery, fortify health systems, and raise the standard of care, we collaborate closely with regional health authorities and organizations. In order to establish a healthcare environment that is adaptable, inclusive, and able to satisfy the changing demands of Somalia’s populace, we concentrate on capacity training, infrastructure development, and policy advocacy.

The healthcare services we provide

DMO's commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to healthcare

DMO acknowledges the value of community engagement in facilitating access to healthcare. We support community-led collective action to improve health outcomes by forming alliances with local authorities, medical professionals, and community organizations. In order to guarantee that healthcare services are available, responsive, and customized to meet the requirements of Somalia’s various populations, we mobilize public demand and advocate for institutional commitments and policy changes.
