On 9th October 2018 high delegation from UNICEF and WFP visited Horseed MCH and Mogir/Mayow IDP where DMO implement integrated projects for health and nutrition UNICEF is one of the main partners for health and nutrition projects that DMO implement baidoa distinct.
The aim of the high delegation visit was to see how best the health and nutrition projects supported by UNICEF were been implemented the mission was started Mogor/Mayow IDP where UNICEF supports integrated projects after delegation proceeded to Horseed MCH where DMO implements projects supported UNICEF.
UNICEF is main donor for health and nutrition projects that DMO was implementing, DMO currently runs for 5 OTP and 6 outreach health mobile supports by UNICEF, DMO is the one of the local organization running most of the nutrition project implemented in baidoa town and IDPs both SAM(UNICEF supported) and MAM(WV/WFP supported).
DMO is much appreciated the continuous assistance from UNICEF this will make sure this assistance to reach the needy people and make sure to reduce the malnutrition, good example DMO takes part 2017 drought where effected lot of people and large IDP influx in baidoa town with assistance of the UNICEF DMO implemented nutrition projects and health to support the IDPs and host community.
Once again DMO will like to thank UNICEF and requesting to continue supporting the most needy people specially children and mothers.
