DMO was operating for 9 TSFP/BSFP sites in all locations for Baidoa district; those are integrated sites (4 community sites and 5 outreach sites) which supported by World vision International (WVI)/WFP interms of funding for this project. Additionally, most of the TSFP/BSFP sites are integrated with OTPs and health sites running DMO and supporting by UNICEF for funding. The aim of managing moderately malnourished children6-59 months and PLWs was to meet the additional nutritional needs as well as prevention of becoming severely acute malnutrition (SAM).During April 2019, a total of 273 TSFP beneficiaries were screened in Alfurqan IDP site of which 101 were old cases for under five children and PLW, while 214 individuals were admitted as new cases for the management of moderate acute malnutrition, out of these 26 were pregnant and lactating women, while the rest of 188 were under five children. Meanwhile 273 beneficiaries were distributed for plumpy supp, CSB and oil. As each beneficiary received plumpy sup 2.8kg, CSB 7.5Kg and Oil 0.75kg.For the period of the management, caregivers were constantly educated key messages of plumpy supp, CSB, food preservations, IYCF education in order to enhance their positive behavior change.
